Acceptable Use Policy

This policy outlines the rules for using DataDistill to ensure a safe and reliable experience for all users.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the prohibited uses of the services, API, website, and platform provided by DataDistill, Inc. ("DataDistill," "we," "us," or "our"). This AUP forms part of the DataDistill Terms of Service. By using our Services, you agree to comply with the rules set forth below.

1. Prohibited Content

You agree NOT to use the Services to upload, process, transmit, or store any content (Input Data) that:

  • Illegal ActivityViolates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Harmful to MinorsContains CSAM or content that exploits or harms minors. We report these to NCMEC.
  • Promotes ViolenceEncourages violence, terrorism, or physical harm based on protected characteristics.
  • Malicious CodeContains viruses, trojans, worms, or code designed to damage computer systems.
  • IP InfringementViolates copyright, trademark, patent, or trade secret rights of any third party.
  • FraudulentPromotes pyramid schemes, phishing, or fraudulent financial activities.

2. Prohibited Actions

You agree NOT to engage in the following activities when using the Services:

System Abuse: Attempting to compromise system integrity or decipher transmissions.
DDoS & Flooding: Imposing an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
Scraping: Accessing the Service via automated means without permission (outside API limits).
Reverse Engineering: Attempting to derive source code or model weights of DataDistill AI.
Benchmarking: Building a competitive product or monitoring performance for competitive purposes.
Bypassing Limits: Circumventing rate limiting, paywalls, or security measures.

3. Sensitive Data Restrictions

Unless you have a separate BAA or Enterprise MSA, you agree NOT to use the Services to process:

  • Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Biometric Data
  • Government Classified Data
  • PCI-DSS Data (Credit Card Numbers)

4. Enforcement and Reporting

We Reserve the Right To:

  • Investigate violations of this AUP or misuse of the Services.
  • Remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP.
  • Suspend or terminate accounts without prior notice for violations.
  • Report illegal activities to law enforcement.
